CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced it is delivering a turnkey Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Payment Program solution for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in time to meet tight federal deadlines to launch program enrollment. The contract is valued at US$8 million for the initial two years, with 3 option years.

CGI is delivering its Medicaid Incentive360™ solution through a subcontract with HHSC’s Medicaid claims administrator, the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP). CGI’s solution enables quick EHR incentive payment program compliance by providing all of the people, processes and technology needed for Medicaid agencies to administer and oversee their programs.

CGI’s Medicaid Incentive360 solution for Texas includes a comprehensive provider portal; program call center support, provider verification and payment distribution activities; and development of the provider appeals process. In addition, this solution gives Texas the foundation to spearhead a multi-state collaborative where all member states could benefit from a shared platform. CGI’s business services are based at its U.S. Center of Excellence in Troy, AL, and the technology solution is hosted at its Phoenix Data Center in Arizona.

“CGI’s solution allows Texas to be one of the first states in the country to enable eligible providers and hospitals to receive Medicaid EHR incentive payments in 2011,” said Holli Ploog, Vice-President, CGI. “Our Medicaid Incentive360 offering meets the program’s complex requirements and staffing needs, while providing accountability and control through service level agreements and reporting. We’re thrilled to partner with the State of Texas on this project.”
