The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command Training and Education Command (TECOM) has awarded CGI Federal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), multiple contracts to provide training support for the USMC wide-range transformation modernization program. One award is a US$11 million firm-fixed-price prime contract over three years under the company’s Commercial Enterprise Omnibus support services (CEOss) contract. Two additional awards were subcontracts as part of other contractor-led teams. Services will be delivered by CGI Federal and its various Stanley subsidiaries.
Stanley has been a prime contractor under the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Commercial Enterprise Omnibus support services (CEOss) BPA contract since 2006. This indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract serves as the Marine Corps Systems Command’s principal medium for acquiring contractor support services.
Under the awards, CGI will provide programmatic and training implementation support at various bases and stations across the Marine Corps as well as program management augmentation to the Range and Training Area Management Division at TECOM. In addition, CGI will provide services to support the conduct of Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices training, exercises, and range operations at Marine Corps installations and other training sites.
“We are thrilled to begin work for this new Marine Corps customer,” said George Schindler, President, CGI Federal. “Our mission is to support the warfighter and we are prepared to do so throughout all facilities within the Corps.”
“Though our work with the U.S. Marine Corps has spanned more than 21 years, we are excited to support our newest customer, TECOM, with these three new contract awards as CGI,” said Amy Ygbuhay, Vice-President, CGI. "Our commitment is to provide seasoned team members who can support the TECOM mission and provide our client with the best service for which our company is ultimately known.”
