The challenges of providing high-speed data connectivity across a country’s entire rail network are considerable. Only by harnessing all the resources available including any terrestrial connections alongside all satellite options (GEO and LEO) will it be possible to provide the capacity and availability the public now demand.

Read on to find out CGI’s SODOR project is demonstrating how new constellations of communication satellites can seamlessly fill gaps in terrestrial coverage and provide additional capacity to improve rail safety and provide travellers with better connectivity.
