Energy and environment
The U.S. government faces extraordinary challenges when it comes to ensuring the safety of its citizens; issuing, harmonizing or complying with environmental regulations; and controlling the manufacturing and handling of hazardous material. CGI offers the expertise, services and software solutions that help clients address these challenges head-on. Our offerings include:
- CGI Node 2.0 – The CGI Node 2.0 software is an open source product offered to Exchange Network partners and other interested members of the environmental community to give them capabilities, using EPA’s National Environmental Information Exchange Network to publish, share and gain access to critical environmental data for improved decision making
- Hosting and managed services – CGI, an experienced hosting provider with corporate experience managing 17 data centers, provides the full suite of hosting services through our Shared Service Center (SSC). Our SSC meets the Office of Management’s (OMB) Financial Management Line of Business Due Diligence Checklist, and over 40 federal agencies have transferred to or are in the process of transferring into our Federal SSC.
- CIO related services – These services include consulting and IT support work related to capital planning, enterprise architecture, IT security, compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), enterprise product selection and policy setting.
- Business intelligence – CGI business intelligence and data warehouse services improve the integration and quality of information needed for agency decision-making and business performance analysis. These services include deployment of dashboard, scorecard and analytics technology; data quality improvement; and development of business intelligence strategy, architecture and optimization.
- Web and portal development – CGI provides web and portal design, development, and maintenance expertise, bringing information and services to our clients’ customers. We were the first firm to implement EPA’s enterprise portal tool — Oracle portal.
