"The health crisis has reinforced the importance of digital technology, which is more than ever an essential element of transformation, particularly in the fight against global warming and for a more inclusive society. Moreover, I am convinced that it will be a key tool in the reindustrialization of our country and in the regaining of its sovereignty. Training people in professional retraining for digital professions, creating the first jobs in this sector to build sustainable careers is both an emergency, to meet the exponential growth in demand for digital services, and a huge pride. I look forward to welcoming our new talents to accelerate our business in Western and Southern Europe with them," said Guillaume Schott, Vice President of CGI for Luxembourg.
Focus on the 2021 apprenticeship campaign
Our apprenticeship campaign embodies the company's commitment to job creation. In a context of unprecedented crisis, CGI has redoubled its efforts to enable both young people looking for their first job, and people undergoing professional retraining to successfully enter the world of work whether via an academic course or through its U'DEV developer school.
By increasing its recruitment efforts and strengthening its relationships with schools, CGI has been able to recruit young people in 2021 in Luxembourg, who will see great career opportunities open up for them over the long term - 90% of work-study students will be offered an open-ended contract upon completion of their training.
