Warsaw, Poland, czerwiec 27, 2023

CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) in cooperation with Insurance Business Applications (IBA) has implemented a native cloud solution (IBSuite) for Polski Gaz TUW. The company subjects to supervision by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, will gain from a new digital fully managed and supported SaaS insurance platform.

The IBSuite platform, implemented by CGI Polska, enables quick configuration of new insurance products, while moving away from complex programming work. Thanks to the functionalities of the platform, it is easy to integrate, fully cloud-native with a monthly update of the core part, with modules ensuring full configurability of the platform, as well as enabling business users to create and manage products.

- The implementation for Polski Gaz Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych is unique in the country. We fully based them on the IBSuite cloud solution in terms of development, configuration, and production launch. Finally, the client receives a cloud service in the form of a working core insurance system, including configured insurance products ready to start the sales process, i.e. registration of policies in the systems with the freedom to make changes, as well as the ability to handle claims processes – says Bartłomiej Nieścierowicz, CGI Senior Vice President, Business Unit Leader Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

IBSuite allows users to design communication with the recipient in the form of SMS or e-mails in HTML format, as well as sending the required documents regarding the process of purchasing and servicing insurance policies. CGI is collaborating with IBA in the development and deployment of this solution worldwide. Time to market for insurance products is as short as possible. In the case of CGI implementation, it takes 2-3 months from the kickoff to the ready-for-sale product.

We chose IBSuite because its capabilities fit perfectly into our plans to expand the product offer. It is a modern, fully digital, 24/7 public cloud platform with a proven focus on reliability, scalability and compliance. The application implemented in a short time allows us to adjust the product offer for individual customers and respond to the requirements of our partners – said Dariusz Śpiewak, CIO Polski Gaz TUW.

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF) requires that solutions used by insurance companies comply with EU guidelines as well as follow UKNF guidelines and rules, making it difficult for many solutions to remain compliant and at the same time attractive for business. By utilizing its global expertise CGI has been able to aid in the successful implementation, in what otherwise can be seen as a challenge for the market.

- For the IBSuite Platform, there are practically no limits as to the scale or specificity of the business model. Especially if we are talking about the so-called digital products or insurance lines. The platform scaled to the needs of each entity in the P&C insurance sector. Thanks to the experience of the CGI Team, which knows the IBSuite platform perfectly from other global implementations for the insurance sector, we were able to introduce a product that works great on the Polish market - including language support – says Karina Buch, IBA CCO.

In the case of using the IBSuite platform, the client only bears the cost of monthly fees for the provided solution and does not incur any capital expenditures before launching the sale. This is a solution that is much more business-friendly from an investment perspective, and above all, it allows users to use the platform to the extent that the business needs at a given moment.
