You need to stretch yourself to reach the opportunities

Meet Fredrik, who is working with CGI Latvia following the Acando merger last year. Fredrik is from Sweden, but has been leading IT and business consulting projects in Latvia region for over four years now.

Fredrik enjoys working with CGI as it provides a broad spectrum of opportunities to learn and grow. On one day, he is seen working closely with teams sharing best practices and knowledge. And on another day, he is busy tackling strategic-level challenges. He also feels that the environment is very inclusive with emphasis on networking and collaboration.

When we ask Fredrik on how does his typical day looks like, he smiles and says, „I have many meetings and try to work in-between. It is challenging when you need to collaborate with colleagues remotely, help inspire and challenge them. We are also committed to help our clients; therefore, I need to spend enough time going deep into details, analyzing requirements, and technical specifications. I like the quote – „You need to stretch yourself to reach the opportunities“. I think every day you need to do something to have at least a small achievement“. Fredrik also says that while working remotely, you tend to be less aware of the situation as you work on multiple tasks in parallel. Therefore, it is essential to schedule daily activities to become more productive and achieve your goals.

Fredrik is happy interacting with clients and partners who recognize CGI‘s expertise and competency. He even remembers how his team lost a project initially, but the client was highly appreciative of the commitment and passion displayed. He also narrates that due to the earned trust and competence, they managed to win the client back.
