CGI IT Girl Challenge

Every year in the U.S., we organize a mobile app challenge for high school girls in partnership with schools and community organizations to inspire them to pursue a career in IT. Teams of 2-4 students partner with CGI mentors to develop a smartphone app using a mobile app-building platform. Each team then presents their mobile app to a panel of judges, with the winning team sharing a $20,000 college scholarship.

Women in Technology Scholarship

CGI teams with TD Bank to offer the Dalhousie University Women in Technology Scholarship, which provides tuition support and career mentoring to female students studying IT at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. With various estimates showing that only a quarter of technology careers are held by women worldwide, the scholarship aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in IT and set them up to be future leaders in the industry.
