CGI (NYSE : GIB) (TSX : GIB.A) and energy provider ENGIE are collaborating to manage and expand ENGIE’s Salesforce applications.
CGI will manage the Salesforce platform and will maintain the current applications in salesforce.com. The cloud platform supports different internal and external applications of ENGIE.
“Several years ago, ENGIE selected Salesforce.com to develop several applications for internal use and external clients. The platform allows ENGIE to quickly develop applications which we can easily adapted to meet the needs of an ever changing market and client demands. Constantly expanding the usage of the platform in combination with a scarcity of Salesforce skills in Belgium, made us look for an external partner who could help us in our transformation. Of course quality of the service delivery and a competitive cost is critical in selecting a world class partner. We found this with CGI.’ says Kris Jansen, Delivery & Operations Manager at ENGIE.
“We are happy that CGI was chosen to further build solutions that are unique in the market and connect clients and leading organizations with ENGIE.” says Ben Vicca, Vice President CGI Belgium.
“Salesforce.com gives the flexibility and functionality to offer applications reflecting the needs of the user. To support ENGIE in an optimal way, CGI works with local Salesforce profiles to understand the needs of ENGIE and combines this with nearshore support from Portugal for the development of the applications. This allows us to make a competitive offer guaranteeing the delivery of the quality that strengthens ENGIE position as important market player.”
