I am Sreedhara and I am passionate about serving people. Being a member at CGI has given me the opportunity to serve the communities in which we live and work. I have also been associated with various NGOs and tried contributing to their cause in any way I could.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, my entire immediate family was affected and that was a particularly tough time for me personally. However, my family and I were lucky enough to have positively emerged from that phase but it made me realize the uncertainty of life and the essence of humanity.

Following this incident, I volunteered with CGI’s COVID Warriors group. Having experienced firsthand the importance of on-time consultation and getting appropriate treatment at the right time, I was determined to get these through to those in need who reached out to the group.

There were multiple instances when I received calls from CGI members or their families in critical conditions, anxiously looking for a hospital bed and oxygen, both of which were in short supply during the second wave. In most instances, I was happy to have been able to support the requests.

I truly believe that along with the physical support one can provide during times of trial, extending mental and emotional support to those in need is also important. Whatever be the condition or situation one should stay strong, have positive thoughts and never give up hope.
