As education and entertainment for children shift to online platforms, there is an increased risk of cybercrimes against children. CGI partnered with Learning Space Foundation, Dignity Drive Foundation and Youngistaan Foundation to help sponsor a walkathon in Hyderabad, India, raising awareness about the importance of cyber safety for children.
More than 2,000 people, including students and CGI professionals, participated in the walkathon, and many adults took a pledge to encourage child safety in their social circle and be more aware of policies that support child safety. The 2 km and 5 km walkathons emphasised online safety in an increasingly virtual world.
