In an inspiring display of creativity, innovation, and teamwork, the winners of the CGI and Sea Cadets 2024 Innovate Challenge have been announced! The challenge invited Sea Cadets from across the UK to imagine how they could enhance their Information Systems learning experiences, fostering engagement with STEM subjects in new and exciting ways.

Shaping the future of learning

Open to Sea Cadets aged 12 to 18, the Innovate Challenge encouraged participants to think outside the box, designing projects that harness the power of technology to make IT topics more accessible, interactive, and enjoyable. The response was amazing, with teams presenting innovative concepts that reflect the bright futures of these young minds as problem-solvers, architects, and engineers.

Four winners were selected from Sea Cadet entries from across the UK. Each winning team received a £1,000 digital grant to bring their ideas to life, along with a VIP visit to CGI offices in Chippenham and Leicester Space Park, where they explored real-world applications of information systems in for mission-critical environments as well as enjoying some hands-on time programming robots.
