What Barron McCann Needed
Barron McCann has always been extremely conscious of security across its business and across that of its customers. Driven by a need to formally demonstrate its commitment to security, Barron McCann needed to invest in a coherent, auditable secure range of IT services to offer our clients.
The Challenge
Handling highly confidential information about every single person in the whole of England, Wales and Northern Ireland is no minor undertaking. As a market-leading provider, selected to deliver crucial IT services to support the 2011 Census, Barron McCann had to prove that they have security that is in line with the highest possible standards. In order to do this they needed to gain compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001 information security management standard. This meant working on issues related to information security, ranging from the technical, physical, personnel and procedural to make them compliant with Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards.
