Our commitment to being a forces-friendly organisation
CGI is proud to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant and support the armed forces community. We recognise the contribution that service personnel both regular and reservist, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families should be treated fairly and not face disadvantages when seeking access to public or private goods and services in the UK.
As an armed forces friendly organisation we aim to act, support and respect this important community. Our activities range from recruiting and supporting veterans in our business through our Uniformed Services Network; enabling reservists and cadet force adult volunteers who work at CGI to take part in training; and supporting the wider community for example engaging the Cadet Forces in STEM learning.
Employer Recognition Scheme
CGI is delighted to have achieved the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, for demonstrating our commitment to being an Armed Forces-friendly company.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

We believe all organisations no matter what industry they work in should consider signing the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant to support and recognise the outstanding work of our UK armed forces community.

CGI in Defence
We have worked with the MOD for more than 40 years and has built a reputation for delivering secure end‑to‑end information solutions. We provide defence advice, software solutions, systems integration, secure hosting services and training across the MOD including business, logistics and management information to frontline operations. This includes important systems such as the MOD’s Primary Care health system.
