Chris is a Subject Matter Expert within the Energy, Utilities and Telecoms division of CGI. He has over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, the last 15 years of which have been spent assisting utilities to adapt and thrive within de-regulated markets. Chris has worked extensively within wholesale energy trading, energy retail, transmission, metering services and settlement within the England & Wales, Scottish, Irish, Belgium, New Zealand and US markets. For the past 10 years, Chris has specialised in smart metering, playing an integral role in CGI’s successful bid to become Data Service Provider (DSP) to the Data Communication Company (DCC). He has since focused on helping DCC Users realise the benefits of smart metering data and functionality.
Chris is author of five of CGI’s popular ‘For Dummies’ series including Smart Metering For Dummies, Smart Grids For Dummies, GB Electricity For Dummies, and Smart Metering Implementation For Dummies.
