Michelle joined CGI in February 2022, following a successful 25-year career as an IT Sales professional within the ICT industry. Michelle began her career as a Software Developer before moving into Sales and Account Management 20 years ago. In her current role as Director Consulting Services, Michelle is leading the growth of CGI’s business in Northern Ireland, helping the public sector deliver Digital First services for all citizens of Northern Ireland. She brings to this role her successful track record, in-depth experience, and knowledge of Government procurement within the public sector along with her strengths in networking and in identifying and creating new opportunities. Building up CGI’s presence in Northern Ireland is a challenge that Michelle has embraced as she has been able to shape her role while helping build up something new with fresh ideas and opportunities. Having secured premises in the Autumn, Michelle is leading the recruitment of members to build up CGI’s presence in Northern Ireland in phases. The initial tranche of 50 members will have two focuses: delivering services to CGI’s client base both in GB and globally and building a public sector business in Northern Ireland. Key amongst her plans is to establish two key locations, the greater Belfast area, and the Northwest of Northern Ireland. As a responsible business, Michelle is committed to CGI’s strategic priority of making an active and sustainable contribution by investing in communities where members reside. To that end, her ambition is to create opportunities to support areas like STEM, climate change and mental health and to build a team that reflects the diversity of the local workforce from across Northern Ireland, from entry roles to roles for industry veterans. Michelle is a Business graduate from the University of Ulster and holds a master’s degree in computer science and Applications from the Queen's University of Belfast. She enjoys gardening and swimming in her spare time and is an avid golf fan. |
