CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) formally announced the opening of its Newcastle office in the Newcastle Helix, which houses prominent UK technology and science businesses. This latest investment further supports the leading IT and business consulting services firm’s commitment to providing career opportunities for those in the local area, working in partnership with NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI), which CGI recently joined. NGI markets Newcastle and Gateshead on a national and international stage. The initiative works with organisations that share its vision and recognise the vital importance of collaboration in boosting the prosperity and profile of the region. The ambitious partnership between CGI and NGI is focussed on providing local people with high-value digital roles that allow them to continue living and working in the North-East.
