Rotterdam, 24 August 2022 - Rail operator ProRail has selected CGI (NYSE:GIB) (TSX:GIB.A) as one of four partners for the development and management of their custom software. It concerns a 10-year framework agreement worth a total of €400 million. The collaboration between ProRail and CGI, which builds on a 16-year relationship, is aimed at further increasing the quality and speed of ProRail's software development and management.
As one of the strategic partners, CGI will be responsible for the agile development and management of applications based on the SAFe methodology in the areas of Adaption, Testing and Training. A business and safety-critical environment, crucial for the daily control and adjustment of the train run. The agreement also includes the implementation of innovative concepts that have a direct impact on the acceleration and quality of software development. This leads to more frequent implementations, fewer disruptions and higher customer satisfaction.
