My CGI career journey is a story of evolution, encompassing not only the roles I've embraced but also the personal and professional growth I've experienced along the way. It’s a testament to how our company’s values and individual passions converge to achieve remarkable outcomes.
The evolution of my role
I've come a long way from being an expert security risk practitioner in the Public Sector, where I was constantly on the front lines, staying ahead of cybersecurity threats and leading teams to safeguard client interests, to where I am now, a Cyber Risk “Evangelist”, where my mission is to instil robust cybersecurity practices and foster a proactive security risk management culture across business. It's about championing behaviours that strengthen our cybersecurity practice, and nurturing client relationships to build trust and enable new opportunities. The key difference? Where I once managed specific cybersecurity needs on client engagements, I now cultivate a mindset of cybersecurity risk management on a company-wide scale, integrating it into our business culture.
Why I chose CGI
My decision to join CGI was driven by its industry leadership. CGI's ability in delivering complex solutions efficiently and its status as a global IT consulting leader were compelling. Beyond that, the chance to be part of a partner-owned company was a significant motivator. As a "CGI Partner," I'm not merely an employee; I'm an owner, and this ownership mentality deeply influences our commitment to the communities we serve.
