CGI is delighted to have secured two awards from the inaugural event from the Wales STEM Awards.
The awards were launched in 2019 in a bid to recognise the innovative STEM (Science, technology, engineering and maths) work being undertaken in Wales. Winning the award for STEM Wales Company of the year (250+ employees) is a recognition of CGI’s STEM outreach with schools and community groups across the UK. CGI demonstrated a clear passion for developing STEM skills in students through events such as code clubs, STEMfromHome, STEM Camps, Daughter to Work days and other outreach activities.
Daniel Deane, representing our STEM Ambassador community in Wales, was pleased to accept the award on behalf of everyone at CGI involved in continuing to inspire the next generation of budding young STEM enthusiasts.
CGI is delighted to also announce that Charles Jones won the STEM Wales ‘Rising Star’ award as a result of his commitment to bringing STEM to the less well represented areas of the community. Charles has been an inspiration to the STEM ambassador team, hosting and attending many STEM events with local schools and community groups over the past year and inspiring his colleagues to become involved in STEM.
CGI is extremely proud of our STEM Ambassador community in Wales and around the UK and the team were thrilled to receive these two awards as recognition of our commitment in this area.
