We are excited to be back at the Energy Innovation Summit (EIS): Enabling a digital, decarbonised energy system on 31 October – 1 November, the yearly event that gathers all those in the energy sector, who create, develop, deliver and implement innovation initiatives.

The summit, whose theme this year is “The climb to the top: innovations that drive green, smarter, more affordable energy Britain by 2035” will bring together the lessons learnt from over 60 British innovation projects, demonstrating the value of innovation in every aspect of our energy systems, and driving action on the next generation of innovative projects.

As a pioneer of innovative technology in the utilities sector, we have over 6,000 energy and utilities consultants around the globe. In Britain, we have been at the heart of digital innovation and market change in the energy sector for over 30 years, supporting successful delivery of numerous energy network innovation projects.

We are the proven technology partner for delivering innovation programmes through to business-as-usual, that accelerate the energy transition and meet customers’ future demands.

Join us at EIS 2023 and meet our experts at stand S3 to find out more about our innovative solutions:

Driving Digitalisation:

Meet the experts who are helping our energy networks clients prepare the data to make their Digitalisation Strategy a reality through our Integrated Network Model (INM). Understand how CGI can drive improved data quality in source systems, provide integrations with new capabilities and services, and deliver analytics whilst protecting operational systems. These are key deliverables to meet the Ofgem’s challenges in delivering Open Data, LTDS and DSO services.

Advancing the value from Smart Meters:

We will showcase how we can provide operational insights incorporating devices on the network, with Smart Meter data to identify fault locations through our integrated technology platform, powered by INM.  Come and find out about the SMITN project, where we have used our Smart Metering expertise combined with advanced analytics to improve asset utilisation though identification of the phase to which low carbon demand, such as electric vehicles and heat pumps, are connected. The project is a collaboration between National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), CGI, Haysis and Loughborough University.

CGI OpenGrid DERMS:

Discover DERMS, a CGI IP solution part of the CGI OpenGrid360 suite, capable of managing Distributed Energy Resources (DER) on the electricity network: from registration, through to settlement. DERMS is built for enhanced reliability, network efficiency, and grid performance.

CGI Remote Telemetry Unit (RTU):

Meet our RTU expert to view this unique device suite, a key part of CGI’s SCADA offering. Developed and produced by us, our RTU hardware and software offers a powerful edge processing Operational Technology (OT) solution that increases reliability and provides real-time visibility, and dynamic, automated control of network assets, including DERs, helping utilities transition to intelligent and flexible energy systems.

Market-wide half hourly settlement (MHHS):

Come and discuss the impact of MHHS, the most significant change to the British electricity retail market since the introduction of competition in the 1990s, on energy distributors’ processes and systems. CGI’s MHHS Business Readiness assessment service will help you get ready to embrace energy flexibility.

Cyber security - beyond critical national infrastructure (CNI)

Learn from our expert how CNI-like organisations can benefit from the appropriate application of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF). Download the white paper.
