David Filmer was appointed as the Senior Vice President (Consulting Services) and business unit leader for CGI’s UK Public Safety Sector in 2024, one of CGI’s largest sectors in its UK & Australia business.
David has a passion for delivering outstanding client satisfaction whilst building and leading high performing, diverse, equitable and inclusive teams. This is evidenced by his leadership team where the gender balance is 50:50 and is a proud male ally, advocating cognitive diversity across CGI and the technology industry.
David and his team work with a number of clients across the Public Safety market to help drive the adoption of digital transformation to underpin citizen safety across the UK. His team deliver transformation technology solutions and help disrupt serious and organised crime, counter-terrorism, law enforcement and help departments make safer recruitment decisions utilising richer data and intelligence. David’s leadership ensures these national critical and complex systems, help create a safer place to work and live across the UK.
David also sits on the UK Diversity & Inclusion Committee for CGI and takes an active role in developing early careers talent through mentoring and participation of diversity and inclusion schemes, supporting younger talent in moving into the technology industry.
