Nick Dale is the Vice President for the Police Sector in CGI; he brings more than two decades’ experience transforming businesses to the UK’s police forces. Nick works with UK law enforcement and justice agencies, helping them take advantage of the joined-up thinking and technologies that we use to drive digital transformation in business. He is passionate about the potential of existing and emerging technologies to make law enforcement and public safety more effective and works closely with police forces, helping them understand how technologies like Artificial Intelligence can free up officers and staff to focus on serving the public and improving outcomes.

Nick sat on the Advisory Board of the Strategic Review of Policing conducted by the Police Foundation. He also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Criminology and Police Management from the University of Cambridge. His thesis focussed on how to improve police efficiency, effectiveness and legitimacy using existing policing digital assets with North Yorkshire Police. The successful pilot was then rolled out Nationally in the UK throughout 2023. Nick is continuing to explore the ways in which industry, academia and the third sector can work together by undertaking a PhD in Artificial Intelligence with the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge.

Nick lives in Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England with his wife and four children where he can do plenty of open water swimming. When not working, studying or swimming Nick can be found in the crowd at various netball competitions across the UK in his important role as a netball dad.
