CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A), one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms in the world, has been named as a supplier on Lot 1 of Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Digital and Legacy Application Services (DALAS) framework [RM6335]. This follows the announcement in October 2023 of CGI’s appointment under Lots 2 and 3.
The DALAS framework enables delivery of critical application services that, in turn, will have a positive impact on taxpayers and improve the experience of HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) users. Its focus is to help UK Government and public sector shift from legacy systems and provide more cost effective and innovative services. The framework can also be utilised by Central Government Departments and all other UK Public Sector Bodies.
Lot 1 covers architecture, consultancy, delivery and innovation and includes both capability and strategy assessment, design and delivery. CGI is already a supplier on both Digital, Integration and Programme Application Services (Lot 2a) and Application and Integration Run Services (Lot 3), covering services in user-centred design, application delivery, and application management.
Tara McGeehan, President, CGI in the UK and Australia said: “As a supplier on Lot 1 we will support HMRC as they look to develop and implement new applications that move away from legacy systems. We’ve been working with HMRC since 2022, covering large-scale digital, integration and programme application services, and the application and integration of run services. Through the DALAS framework we can build on our work and continue to provide key services that support their mission.”
CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
