CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A), the global IT and business consulting services firm, has been selected by Llesiant Delta Wellbeing, as its long-term strategic partner with the award of a five-year contract to improve health and social care outcomes in West Wales. Delta Wellbeing is at the heart of health and care collaboration between local authorities, health boards and community partners and has become a centre of excellence for Technology Enabled Care (TEC).
The initial focus of the partnership will be the digitisation of Delta Wellbeing's telecare services in preparation for the upcoming analogue switch off in 2025. These digital services provide users with 24/7 monitoring via alarms, sensors and wearable devices to remotely monitor health conditions and help people retain and improve independence in the home. With a secure and seamless transition, CGI will help ensure that Delta Wellbeing and its partners continue to provide a high quality of care and are best placed to capture and utilise the very best that technology can offer those in the community.

Through co-investment in the development of innovative and cutting-edge digital services, CGI and Delta Wellbeing, in partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board and Carmarthenshire County Council, are looking to transform how health and care is provided to people through the concept of ‘HomeFirst’ – where individuals receive the care they need as close to home as possible. The improved use of data will empower the workforce, create visibility and transparency, and over time provide a new single view of the patient. This will enable whole system thinking to become a reality - where the whole support team in the NHS and care services, as well as family, will be able to see what is happening at any time.
