What did you do before joining CGI?
I have worked in many different industries before I landed at CGI, for example in security, healthcare and fashion, and have had many different roles such as administrator, insider, claimant and group manager. An out-of-the-box job I had was several years ago when I was at the fair on an icebreaker. A very fun and different experience!
Why did you apply for the Accelerate program?
I was contacted by a previous manager who suggested Accelerate. I still did not know what I wanted to be when I grew up, but saw the potential in having this opportunity for education in the system that I enjoy working in. However, I had no experience in the consulting profession and at first had difficulty identifying myself with the title SAP consultant. But after reading about it, I understood that a consultant within SAP could be almost anything and that I was able to shape my own way forward.
What was the best thing about the program?
The width of what the program offers and the opportunities that come with it, the challenges and contacts I made.
I had difficulty identifying myself with the title SAP consultant. But after reading about it, I understood that a consultant role within SAP could mean almost anything.
What was most challenging?
The most challenging thing was to get acquainted with the (for me) brand new SAP S/4HANA, and deliver on high goals while we as a group got to know each other.
What knowledge did you get from the program?
A lot! Contacts, new knowledge about SAP, increased collaboration skills, consultancy, and project management.
What is your role today?
Today I am head of an SAP management delivery at CGI Stockholm's largest customer. I get to use my strengths in communication and structure on a daily basis, act as the spider in the web, and engage and inspire my colleagues!
What is the best thing about being a consultant?
High demands and the feeling of living up to, or even exceeding these demands, is unbeatable.
What certifications have you taken, for example in S/4?
I have taken a Scrum master certificate.
I get to use my strengths in communication and structure on a daily basis, act as the spider in the web, and engage and inspire my colleagues!
Where do you see yourself in the future?
My goal is to have as broad a knowledge base as possible. My interest is in having knowledge in many and large areas in SAP, rather than depth in smaller areas. At the same time, I want to continue to develop my skills in management and agile work.
How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a social person who likes when a lot is happening around me! In working life, I thrive with multiple assignments at once, which means that I get to structure and compile information in a streamlined way. I see this as one of my strengths. I am driven by clarity in communication of all kinds, cooperation and joy.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to cook and bake, then invite friends to dinners, brunches and coffee breaks where we eat what I have made. A lot of time is also spent at various DIY:ers choosing wall colors, floors and tiles, as my partner and I are renovating our house. When there is time, I relax on the couch in front of a tv series.
