We are proud to announce that CGI has become a member of Manchester Digital, the industry body for the digital and tech sector in Greater Manchester, in the North West of England, as part of ongoing plans to increase our existing presence in this metro market.

Manchester Digital comprises a community of around 500 companies including large corporations, SMEs, startups, freelancers and agencies across all tech verticals. They work together to influence and shape government policy and promote the continued growth of Manchester as a leading UK tech hub.

Nigel Jones, Senior Consultant at CGI UK, said:

“CGI is delighted to be joining Manchester Digital. As one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world, we have been delivering technology innovation for almost 50 years and we look forward to working together to make Manchester and the North West an even better place for digital business. From our existing base in the city region, we want to ensure we’re supporting our current and prospective partners to achieve greater collective success here.”

At CGI, we're committed to promoting and driving technology, business and community growth in the North of England and this new partnership will be instrumental in helping us to raise brand awareness and continue our growth in the region. The membership will provide us with an important platform from which we can cement our position as thought leaders and innovators in the digital and tech space and will also create invaluable opportunities for our members and experts to engage in tech events and conferences, digital skills training and initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

We look forward to collaborating with Manchester Digital on our journey to support and develop the North West tech sector and its communities. With our offices in Soapworks, Salford, where we work closely with one of our key clients in the North, telecoms provider TalkTalk, we are ideally positioned to continue our great contribution to the local economy and help the region realise its full potential.
