CGI Group Inc. (Toronto Stock Exchange: GIB.A; New York Stock Exchange: GIB), a leader in information technology and business process services, today announced the signing of a multimillion dollar agreement with Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) for detailed analysis, manufacturing, testing and rollout of the commercial lending IT solution. This solution will be based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), using Microsoft technology and integrating the customer relationship management system Dynamics CRM, the enterprise content management system OpenText ECM, and a business rules engine.
“BDC has worked closely with CGI for 15 years,” says Edmée Métivier, Executive Vice President, Financing and Consulting, at BDC. “This new contract with CGI was signed after a call for tenders and a rigorous due diligence process. We are confident that CGI as a partner will help us make our operations more efficient so that we can offer better service to entrepreneurs across Canada.”
“We are delighted to work together on implementing this important BDC program,” says Claude Marcoux, CGI Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Quebec and Ottawa. “The involvement of CGI’s different Canadian centers of expertise and the Microsoft center of expertise in particular will certainly contribute to achieving BDC’s business objectives.”
