CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) is pleased to announce that it will establish a Centre of Excellence in Quebec’s Mauricie region. Scheduled to open its doors in the coming months, the new centre is expected to create 300 value-added jobs over the next three years. The announcement was made in the presence of the Premier of Quebec, Mr. Philippe Couillard, the Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Exports, Mr. Jacques Daoust, the Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises, Regulatory Streamlining and Regional Economic Development and Minister Responsible for the Mauricie Region, Mr. Jean-Denis Girard, and the Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, Mr. François Blais.

The addition of this Centre represents CGI’s capacity to continue to provide high quality services to meet the growing needs of its clients worldwide. Currently, CGI’s talented pool of professionals serve clients around the globe from some 30 Centres of Excellence: in Canada (including four in Quebec: Saguenay, Sherbrooke, Québec and Montréal), the United States, Europe and Asia.

The centre will be specialized in the development, implementation and integration of IT systems as well as in application maintenance within CGI’s principal activity sectors.
