Leena-Mari Lähteenmaa was appointed President of CGI’s Finland, Poland and Baltics operations in October 2019, where she oversees approximately 4,500 consultants and professionals who deliver end-to-end services—strategic business and IT consulting, systems integration, managed IT and business processes services, and IP solutions—to clients across these regions.
Prior to this appointment, Leena-Mari led the operations for CGI in Finland, where the company ranks as the second largest IT services provider with more than 10% of the IT services market share.
Before joining CGI through its merger with Logica in 2012, Leena-Mari held numerous leadership roles in various leading IT companies. With 30 years of IT services experience, Leena-Mari is a recognized leader with a passion for quality and achieving the highest levels of operational excellence. She uses her industry and technology expertise, along with an open and transparent leadership style, to truly understand client needs and offer highly effective services and solutions with one objective in mind: to help her clients and teams grow.
An active spokesperson for diversity, equity and inclusion, Leena-Mari inspires and supports young people to enter the IT profession. For example, CGI in Finland has recruited more than 700 young professionals in the past three years as they take their first steps in joining the digital workforce. Under her leadership, CGI in Finland also is a recognized employer that embraces gender diversity, with female employees representing close to 40% of the workforce, well above the IT industry average, and advancement toward a 50/50 ratio.
In recognition of her successes, including the mentoring and support she provides to build the next-generation of leaders, in 2019, Leena-Mari received a CGI Builders Award for her contributions to the growth and success of the company.
