Music rotation quality is one of the essential elements to the success of any radio station’s identity. While often curated by on-air talent, there remains the need to provide automated music scheduling, especially given the 24/7 on-air nature of modern station outputs.
The key to achieving seamless scheduling is to integrate rotation software with a station’s output. Comprehensive metadata such as singer, BPM and genre, combined with basic information (title, composer, artist, etc.) allows for the largest number of possible combinations customized to broadcaster needs. CGI dira’s integration with MusicMaster offers scalable and seamless automated scheduling options.
MusicMaster delivers a flexible music scheduling system with an intuitive interface used by broadcasters worldwide for web streams, terrestrial and satellite radio, in-store audio, music television, syndicated networks, national broadcast groups, and more.
Key features:
Scale and flexibility: dira can integrate with the MusicMaster’s Client-Server Edition, targeted at large radio groups managing a single corporate enterprise music library and overseeing programming across their network. Connections can be web-based via a REST interface, providing maximum workflow flexibility for even the largest broadcaster, ensuring that many hours of music-based programming can be scheduled with ease.
Simple workflow: Once programming is completed, dira’s broadcast schedule loading can take place at regular intervals, with placeholders created within to accommodate the incoming data. The dira system will then communicate with MusicMaster to receive the planned music for all placeholders in the schedule or simply the appropriate references to them if the audio files are already loaded into dira.
Agile and responsive: dira’s integration with MusicMaster makes it possible to exchange a single scheduled piece of music from within its scheduling clients . Broadcasters can manually select the music to be replaced and then request alternatives from MusicMaster based on either the same category or from the same artist.
