Diane Gutiw PhD leads the AI Research Center in CGI's Global AI Enablement Center of Expertise, responsible for establishing CGI’s position on applied AI offerings and thought leadership.

Previously, Diane was responsible for Analytics, AI and Machine Learning for CGI in Canada, leading a team of data scientists and data architects in supporting organizations implementing big data solutions. She holds a PhD in Medical Information Technology Management where she conducted doctoral research on medical AI/expert system solution modeling and adoption. Diane has assisted organizations in better understanding their data through data science, AI and machine learning to expand the scope of evidence-based decision-making.

She has been engaged on COVID pandemic modeling as well as the vaccine roll out analytics and reporting for the Province of British Columbia, and led collaborative health research engagements across Canada. Diane has also led collaborative strategy design and implementation planning for advanced analytics and AI for large organizations in energy and utilities, railway, and government / healthcare sectors. For example, she was engaged by utilities clients in Western Canada for analytics strategies and implementation engagements.
