Digital Product Passport Application

Developed as part of the Catena-X circular economy product team, our Digital Product Passport application helps automotive manufacturers and partners visualize and analyze the life cycle of product materials and achieve a high level of transparency to comply with social and environmental protection standards.

It is an open-source application that allows users to access standardized product passports simply by scanning a QR code or a unique product ID to retrieve data from digital twins across the Catena-X network.

A manufacturer wanted to join the Catena-X Network but struggled to access the platform and fully understand its features. They also lacked the resources to implement and maintain a new system. CGI helped the manufacturer with the Catena-X onboarding process, offering invaluable insights as a result of being deeply involved in the development of the network. Using the Digital Product Passport application, the client could achieve their objectives, for example, improving transparency with their suppliers and OEMs about the Child Labor metrics of their products.
