CGI’s George Schindler was named as one of the Top CEOs by Glassdoor in the United States, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites. Winners of the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award were determined entirely on employee feedback shared anonymously on Glassdoor over the past year.

George joined the company in 2004 through the merger with AMS and was named President & CEO in 2016, where he now leads our 78,000 professionals worldwide in delivering IT and business consulting services to clients in 21 industry sectors, including banking, retail and government.

Under his tenure, we have acquired 17 companies, continuing the company’s “Buy and Build” strategy of organic growth and growth via mergers—all to benefit our three stakeholders: clients, members (employees) and shareholders. This year, as we celebrate our 45th anniversary, we launched the #CGIForGood campaign, which highlights CGI’s long tradition of giving back to the communities where we live and work.

Glassdoor derives its CEO rankings through its online company review survey. The survey asks employees to rate a number of workplace factors like compensation and benefits as well as work-life balance, and asks whether they approve, disapprove or are neutral about the job their CEO is doing. In addition, employees are asked to describe some of the upsides and downsides of working for the company and provide any advice for senior management.
