CGI’s partnership with Apprenti offers a new approach to bridging the tech talent and diversity gaps through the time-tested model of a registered apprenticeship program.

The U.S. onshore delivery centers apprenticeship program focuses on addressing the shortage of tech workers and supports finding qualified applicants in the underemployed and underserved workforces for people of color, people with disabilities, women and veterans. Through structured training and mentorship, the apprenticeship program helps build in-demand skills to enhance CGI’s delivery capabilities to our clients.

Program Structure

Apprentices attend 3-5 months of technical training, based on the desired occupational role, before joining CGI for 12 months of on-the-job training that will equip them for a new career in IT.  During this time, apprentices are able to grow their skills through structured technical and interpersonal training, while also receiving hands on learning in sought after disciplines. Once apprentices successfully complete 2,000 program hours, they have the opportunity to continue their careers at CGI at a consultant level, supporting our clients worldwide.
