ATARC's RSA Federal Summit, an educational, one-day event, will gather hundreds of subject-matter experts (SMEs) from the federal government and industry, to discus the latest tools, trends and techniques in cybersecurity. Throughout the day, over 50 of the leading security vendors from private industry will demonstrate their cutting-edge products and solutions in the ATARC Cybersecurity Technology Showcase.

The event also includes the MITRE-ATARC Cybersecurity Collaboration Symposium, where experts from government, academic and industry brainstorm and whiteboard a variety of security topics including:

  • CDM & RMF: Complementary Roles in Agency Cybersecurity;
  • Cybersecurity and Federal Data Protection;
  • Cybersecurity Threat Defense of the Future.

The event will take place on March 26, 2019 in the Grand Ballroom at the Washington Marriot at Metro Center in Washington D.C.

7:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Christopher Lavergne, a director at CGI Federal, will participate as part of the panel discussion on CDM and RMF, which runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program is a dynamic approach to fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems, while the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) provides organizations with a holistic, risk-based approach to categorizing information and information systems, selecting and implementing appropriate security controls for an information system, assessing the effectiveness of the security controls (initially and via continuous monitoring), and authorizing the information system to operate. This panel and subsequent collaboration session will discuss the synergies between the two programs as well as other related cybersecurity policy and programs.

CGI and CDM

CGI offers a full suite of services and solutions that address these rapidly changing risks throughout the IT environment. Built around the three principal phases of a project—assess, build and manage—our solution set will assist your organization from beginning to end.

CGI Federal's cybersecurity products and services include the CDM program. CDM delivers the capabilities and tools necessary to identify cybersecurity risks on an ongoing basis, prioritizes these risks based on potential impacts and enables personnel to mitigate the most significant problems first. Consistent with the government's deployment of Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), the CDM program provides a dynamic approach to fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems.
