With over 25 years of experience in technology, business consulting and shared services operations, Amar is a Senior Vice President at CGI, leading the U.S. and Canadian Global Business Engineering functions. In this role, Amar’s team supports the design and implementation of managed IT and business process services, helping clients benefit from CGI’s IT expertise to increase agility, apply innovation, and deliver an improved return on investment.
Throughout his career, Amar has worked closely with many Fortune 500 clients, helping drive performance and profitability through IT. He has an extensive background supporting strategic growth plans across industry sectors, including manufacturing, energy, and oil and gas. He thrives in hyper-scaling unstructured and emerging businesses.
Amar has been a long-time resident of Silicon Valley in California. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Amar has also completed executive education programs at MIT and the Singularity University.
