CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) today announced the new release of the ProSteward360 solution that empowers chemical manufacturers and distributors to address the demands of complying with the EU Poison Centre (EU PC) Notification regulation. An end-to-end solution suite, ProSteward360 integrates this regulatory compliance activity into the existing hazard communication workflows which optimizes operations and creates a sustainable process to initiate notifications and mandatory updates as required by the regulation.
EU member state Poison Centres receive more than 600,000 calls a year in which about half of those incidents involve children and in more than 40% of cases identifying the product is difficult. The new harmonized set of information will be used by Poison Centres at the member state level to improve the quality of first aid and medical advice provided to the general public and medical professionals. ProSteward360 generates the new Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) label element which will help address the rapid identification of information in the event there is a poisoning incident.
“The new release of ProSteward360 provides a timely and comprehensive solution to enable EU Poison Centre Notification regulatory compliance,” said Bruce Crowder, Director, Consulting Delivery at CGI. “The solution is available for companies to use now and positions them to be compliant well in advance of the January 1, 2021 regulatory deadline.”
