CGI has been awarded a competitive tender for the provision of a Digital Service Desk for the UK Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
The contract will see CGI and MOJ continue to work together on transformation and service improvement, implementation of new services and delivery of increased efficiencies while maintaining high levels of user satisfaction. This will include the launch of a bespoke User Experience (UX) Hub aimed at increasing user interaction. Real-time monitoring of satisfaction levels for MOJ employees working in areas such as courts, prisons, legal aid, and the Office of the Public Guardian will also be included.
CGI will provide critical, robust, and best value support, allowing MOJ to implement change and improve its approach to fixing issues the first time, thus reducing overall costs and improving efficiency. This support is crucial to achieving MOJ’s strategic objective of designing, delivering and maintaining sustainable core technology services and an exceptional workplace technology experience, whilst being led by its users.
A spokesperson on behalf of the Ministry of Justice said, “We have an exciting journey ahead of us, implementing the MoJ Digital Service Desk in partnership with CGI. Introducing seamless enhancements to benefit our users when engaging with the Service Desk and IT Services with confidence to complete their day-to-day duties.”
Liz Drummond, Vice-President, Consulting Services, Justice for CGI in the UK, commented, “CGI has an established track record working as one of the key suppliers across the entire criminal justice sector and we are once again bringing that expertise to MOJ in order to enable our clients to power a better experience for all citizens.”
The contract also places an emphasis on social value, aligning with CGI's commitment to creating positive change in the communities in which its employees live and work. Initiatives such as supporting social enterprises to rehabilitate and prepare former offenders to succeed in the workplace through skills workshops, mentoring and mock interviews form part of the social value commitment from CGI.
