Curtis Nybo is a data scientist focused on research and development of artificial intelligence applications. A large part of his role involves developing in-depth technical solutions for clients across all industries. Curtis leverages more than 10 years’ experience in both industry and academics directly related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mathematics/ physics. In addition to providing technical expertise in this area, he also leads teams of data scientists from project research to production deployments. Curtis also chairs a global quantum computing community of practice at CGI, comprising of an international team focused on delivering quantum breakthroughs.

Curtis has a Master of Quantitative Finance and is completing another master's degree in astrophysics. His MSc Quant. Finance thesis research focused on using neural networks to predict stock sector volatility, in comparison to the performance of the standard ARCH models. He has a passion for data science, physics, finance, statistics, computer science and astronomy.
