Joy Ardanaz is CGI’s Health Sector Lead for the Canada National Capital Region. Her wide-ranging career encompasses more than 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector with a focus on digital health.
In previous roles, Joy led multiple initiatives at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and The Ottawa Hospital to modernize healthcare documentation practices, adopt and customize an electronic medical record (EMR), and transform remote patient monitoring technologies to deliver care to patients in the region and remote care for Indigenous and isolated communities.
In 2023, Joy joined CGI as the medical solution architect for CGI’s Harmony Medical Module project, helping to design and deliver a functional prototype of a smart modular medical facility for the lunar surface. She currently leads CGI’s Health Sector practice for the National Capital Region, collaborating with clients to solve technological challenges using a human-centered, design-focused approach.
Joy has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Project Management (MPM). As an executive board member of HIMSS Eastern Canada, she champions the adoption of safe and effective digital health practices across Canada.
