CGI Federal is committed to maintaining the highest standard of ethical conduct at all times and complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations in the conduct of its business in the federal marketplace. CGI Federal holds Momentum Day in furtherance of its MUG Charter obligations to provide a forum for federal members of the MUG to share implementation strategies and product experience, to help federal users to shorten the learning curve, and to share best practices. The MUG Board, a collaboration of federal government representatives, oversees the MUG activities, including reviewing and approving the Momentum Day agenda. Momentum Day further establishes a forum for MUG members to exercise the voice of the federal government envisioned by the MUG Charter with agencies providing speakers and discussion. Momentum Day is open to all MUG members and other attendees who want to benefit from the MUG collaboration. In this regard, CGI Federal believes that federal agency personnel can attend and participate in the regulated and chartered forum within the course and scope of their employment. A copy of the MUG Charter is available upon request from the Chair of the FY 2024-2025 MUG Board, Noah Kaufman, at the Department of State via KaufmanN@state.gov.
Momentum Day is expected to attract in excess of 600 participants from over 30 federal, state and local governmental entities as well as commercial participants. Along with offering a forum for exercising the rights and obligations of MUG membership, the Momentum Day agenda includes general awareness training and information, such as understanding the direction of federal budgeting or managing financial operations with a low-code solution. Given the topics of general interest and attendance by both U.S. government and commercial personnel interested in the this information and training, CGI Federal believes that the learning activities offered at Momentum Day qualify under the Widely Attended Gathering (WAG) exception to the general gift prohibition as defined in federal government ethics regulations applicable to executive agency employees and officials. However, CGI Federal understands that designation as a WAG is at the determination of each agency's Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO). Attendees may opt out of the learning credit available for attendance.
If any attendee is required by applicable rules to pay any part of the costs of attending this event or has any questions about this ethics disclosure, please contact the appropriate agency ethics official, who in turn may contact the CGI Federal Ethics Office at ethics.officer@cgifederal.com. If your DAEO deems that this event is not a gratuity or that the event is covered by a different exception to the general gift prohibition, please forward that determination to ethics@cgifederal.com.
