One of Finland's leading tourism companies wanted to respond to this growing international demand with a renewed strategy. The company chose CGI as their partner to help ensure their new strategy and the technology solutions that support it are both lasting and strengthen the company's position within the industry and the platform economy.
This collaboration, which began in February 2024, focuses on using modern technology solutions in the platform economy in accordance with the client’s new strategy. By analyzing the client’s business model and strategy, CGI identified key areas where AI could bring added value to enhance the efficiency of the company’s systems and online store.

The technology modernization effort was based on a comprehensive analysis of the company's systems and CGI Digishore, a generative AI-powered automation solution for technology modernization. With the help of CGI Digishore, functional documentation was created from a codebase of the client’s system under development to ensure optimal functionality for their solutions. The description of the overall architecture formed the basis of the analysis to integrate AI applications into the client’s system. In the future, AI also can be used in data analysis to improve the accuracy of travel services based on customer habits and interests.

A key factor for the success of the project has been the close cooperation between the client and CGI. Together, we innovated and implemented solutions that respond to current challenges and anticipate future needs. Additionally, our collaboration sought to enable the client to learn and adopt the principles of change management during the project.
As a result, the client has a roadmap of various activities and solutions for using AI on their platform. The goal is to use data analysis to develop tourism services that are even more targeted and customer centric. The roadmap also serves as a guide for future AI development and ensures the company can continue to innovate and adapt to the rapidly changing market.
