Uninterrupted broadcast productions

Based on the next items to be played from the main on-air automation, dira Cartplayer will automatically back up current schedules to a Cartplayer page. This fully updated, backup solution offers added security for the rare instances when the main radio playout automation becomes unavailable, ensuring uninterrupted broadcast productions.

Easy integrations

Our software runs on a single Windows-based server platform and works with ASIO multichannel sound devices (tested with RME). On-air operations are performed using only a touchscreen—minimizing the required studio footprint. However, it can also operate via mouse and keyboard.

dira Cartplayer is not only a valuable solution for self-operated formats and smaller radio operations, but can also be easily combined with our dira Onair Control and dira Onair Player packages for highly reliable playout automations.

Instant

In instant mode, each matrix button becomes a “play now” command that puts the corresponding item directly on air. Instant mode can support up to four stereo channels.

    Standard

In standard mode, all channels can be freely combined. It is also possible to play audio on four channels simultaneously, even from different banks and pages. Playing out an item requires only three screen touches:

    1. Select the item
    2. Assign it to one of the four stereo channels
    3. Select the play out channel

    Stack

In stack mode, each of the four faders are assigned a playout stack where multiple items can be placed from a simple rundown list. Starting the channel will play out the first item on the list. Within the stack, items can be scheduled for manual or automatic starts—the latter can autonomously play several items in a row. Additionally, any one pair of two adjacent channels can be combined in stack mode to facilitate full A/B playout.
